Bank Islam Trust Ltd. was honoured to play a key role at the Joint Global Business Conference 2025, held from 14 to 16 July at Sunway Resort Hotel, organised by the Malaysian Law Institution.

More than just a date on the calendar, the conference served as a valuable platform for high-level discourse, cross-sector collaboration, and forward-thinking engagement. Bank Islam Trust Ltd. (BTL) and Bank Islam Labuan Offshore Branch (BILOB) participated as Bank Islam Labuan Offshore Business, in collaboration with Labuan IBFC Inc., to further strengthen the connection between Labuan’s offshore offerings and the legal, financial, and trust sectors at both national and international levels. The conference was further elevated by the presence of esteemed members of the World Independent Lawyers League (WILL) from around the world, bringing rich perspectives and global insights to the discussions.

At the centre of Bank Islam Labuan Offshore Business’s participation was the Director, Puan Masdayana Md Setamam, who delivered an engaging and impactful session on “The Role of Labuan Foundation in Wealth & Estate Management.” Her presentation addressed critical topic of legacy planning, asset protection, intergenerational wealth transfer, and the strategic application of Labuan structures in long-term wealth preservation. The session encouraged engaging conversations among professionals and leaders in the industry.

As part of the overall participation, Bank Islam Labuan Offshore Business set up a dedicated booth, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly to gain insights into Labuan structures, and explore tailored solutions and services. The conference wrapped up with a gala dinner on the final day, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and foster stronger professional relationships within the global community.

In addition, Puan Masdayana was featured in media interviews with New Straits Times (NST) and Berita Harian, where she shared her perspectives on the growing importance of Labuan structures and the need for inclusive, Shariah-aligned estate planning solutions. These features further elevated Bank Islam Trust Ltd.’s visibility as a trusted voice in the wealth management and trust services sector.
